Snowshoeing Guided Tour in the Norwegian Woods

Explore the magical Norwegian woods by day—or venture out in the evening with headlamps to experience the quiet beauty under the stars. Walk beneath towering spruce trees heavy with snow and take in the peaceful views of open wetlands.

Along the way, we’ll cross and examine animal tracks, learning about the forest’s hidden inhabitants. If luck is on our side, we might be treated to the breathtaking glow of the Aurora Borealis lighting up the night sky.

About our guided hikes

  • Duration and period

    2 – 4 hours, included a coffee/tea break.

    Period: 15 th of Feb. to 15th of April.

  • What to wear

    You’ll be fitted with snowshoes and trekking poles suited to your size.

    Make sure to wear warm winter clothing and sturdy winter boots—temperatures can range from just below freezing to -15°C.

  • Your local guide

    Your local guide has many years of experience. Speaking English, German or Norwegian. Tours start at 12 PM, but we’re happy to arrange a different time that suits you.

  • Degree of difficulty

    The terrain is gentle but requires some balance and light physical effort. We keep the pace easy and enjoyable for everyone.

  • Price

    Small groups only, limited to 4 people for a personal experience.

Cabin life during winter

You can combine the hike with overnight stay for two persons in our cabin 950 meter above sea level in a beautiful area.

Recommended activities there are hiking in the forests or in the mountains, fishing, biking or just relaxing!
